The crown is usually a symbol of the status of a monarch. However, in modern times, the monarchs of many countries may never have worn the crown, and the crown's pattern may only serve as a badge for their family. For example, the Belgian kingdom has no coronation. There is a ritual in the Orthodox marriage called the crown, that is, the new people are crowned as the king and queen of their future family. In Greek weddings, the crown is usually made of flowers (either artificially rolled or by natural forks) and kept by newcomers as souvenirs. In a Slavic wedding, the crown is usually made of metal and will mimic the real crown, but usually does not make a new pair at each wedding. Instead, the parish retains a pair of newcomers in the parish. Wear it for weddings because the cost is much higher than the Greek one.
